BETWEEN TATARSTAN AND INDIA
In the Russian Federation, India is represented by the Embassy of India in Moscow and the Consulate General of India in St. Petersburg. On November 12, 2025, the Consulate General of India was also opened in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Trade turnover between the Republic of Tatarstan and India increased to USD 400 million in 2025.
Tatarstan’s main exports to India include crude oil and petroleum products; animal and vegetable fats and oils; and organic chemical compounds. The principal imports from India to Tatarstan are electrical machinery and equipment; rubber and rubber products; and nuclear equipment.
