More than fifty performers under the direction of Daniyar Sokolov, together with vocals, national instruments, and the ancient word, will merge into "The Symphony of the Puranas" — as if on a vast canvas where music takes on the role of storyteller.

BOOK PRESENTATION
Organizer: Consulate General of the Republic of India in Kazan

Literary exchange is becoming an important part of the cultural dialogue between Russia and India, allowing readers of the two countries to discover national literature and modern authorial voices. Within the framework of the forum, the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Consulate General of India in Kazan, will present books by Indian authors in Hindi and seven works of Indian literature translated into Russian. A special place will be given to the collection of poems by the Tatar poet Musa Jalil, translated into Hindi by the Russian Foreign Ministry office in Kazan. The presentation will continue with a dialogue between Russian and Indian translators, philologists and students, dedicated to the role of translation in developing mutual interest in culture and strengthening humanitarian ties between the two countries.

INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL

The Indian Film Festival will take place at the Mir Cinema in Kazan from October 14 to 16. Audiences will be presented with 7 films, including 6 Indian ones, as well as a film from Tatarstan:

The export base is formed by sunflower oil, while significant potential is associated with expanding supplies of pulses, deeply processed oilseed products, packaged vegetable oil, confectionery products, juices, beverages, and other finished food products. New opportunities are emerging in establishing joint production and packaging facilities with Indian partners, developing agro-logistics, as well as supplying technologies and equipment for the storage and processing of agricultural raw materials, feed production, and the automation and digitalization of agriculture. The foundation of this interaction is literary translation, while significant potential is linked to the development of professional and business translation, workforce training, joint publishing projects, the promotion of literature in Hindi and Russian, as well as translation in the spheres of business, education, and diplomacy. New opportunities are emerging in the creation of joint translation and publishing centers, the development of academic exchange, and the use of technologies for translation and localization. The Indian Film Festival will take place at the Mir Cinema in Kazan from October 14 to 16. Audiences will be presented with 7 films, including 6 Indian ones, as well as a film from Tatarstan:

• "Mothers and children", director Irek Khafizov, Julia Zakharova;
• "Thaai Kizhavi", director Sivakumar Murugesan;
• "The book of dry leaves", director Dr. Abhilash Babu;
• "Under the turban", director Deepankar Prakash;
• "Chinna chinna aasai", director Varsha Vasudev

The programme features stories about family, love, choice, and human relationships. The films will offer a look at modern India from different angles — through personal stories, drama, humour, and serious social themes.

A 4-hour tour of Kazan, visiting the Kazan Kremlin and the Temple of All Religions.
A tour of Kazan’s main attraction – the Kazan Kremlin. Guests will see the Kul Sharif Mosque, the Cathedral of the Annunciation, the Presidential Palace and the walls of the ancient fortress. This is the historical and symbolic heart of the city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival at the Temple of All Religions, guests will see magnificent buildings, each representing a different faith: from the Orthodox church with its domes to the elegant Chinese pagoda. Inside, the following halls are open to visitors: the Orthodox, Catholic and pagan halls.

MAYURBHANJ CHHAU DANCE PROGRAMME

The main gift and a vibrant finale of the Forum for residents and guests of the city will be a unique cultural
event on 17 October, with the support of the Consulate General of India in Kazan.
The "Moskovsky" Cultural Centre will host an exclusive showing of the dance programme
"Mayurbhanj Chhau" — an ancient Indian art form from the state of Odisha, inscribed in 2010 on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. The dance combines traditional martial arts, intricate acrobatics, and folk epic.
